Lord Bobbins here with news. We have achieved a great success this year, with over 350 pre-registrations. We will have tickets at the door, but we cannot promise how long they will last.
I am sitting in my study creating new signage for the ship, the details I wish to have are small and simple but will add to the ambiance of your weekend. I know not everyone will be arriving at noon Friday for take-off, however if you come after 4pm there might be a slight line so let’s go over a checklist shall we…
1. Automobile License (To confirm your Identity)
2. A photo of yourself for your passport (Size can be no bigger than 2×3 inches-remember make them fun!)
3. Decide if you want to buy the TeslaCon Tea ticket and/or the Elegant Wonderland Deco Rococo Salon Price for each is $10 and proceeds go to different charities.
Vendors may park to the far left of the main hotel doors. We will help you in with your wares if need be. If you have carts bring them, we will most likely be busy with attendee’s luggage. You may arrive Thursday night between 8-10PM to set up. Otherwise it will be Friday morning at 9AM. Please come to registration first to pick up ID’s.
Ships passengers, if you wish to experience this con to the fullest please read this part carefully. Much of what I have created for this flight is situational. The sounds and images you will see have been created to give you an immersion unlike any other convention before us.
Please enter through the “Basie’s” restaurant doors to the left side of the main lobby. If you enter through the main lobby there will be no one to greet you. If you need help with luggage please inform one of our porters.
Once inside you will begin your journey at the Bobbins Train and Dirigible station in Nottingham, England. You will be given proper access to the ship via your passport and then a porter will escort you to our state room registration desk for you to complete your stay. At this time they will then take you to your room aboard the Explorer II. ( It is acceptable to give a gratuity to them if you wish, most will be available throughout the weekend to assist you.)
The first panel is at 1pm with yours truly talking a bit about the con and our history thus far. Then stuff starts up genuine! If you arrive later on Friday be aware that opening ceremonies starts at 7pm, but will open early to accommodate seating. If you arrive early Saturday please remember there might also be a line and there could be a short wait.
If you plan a on attending the Haute Spectacuaire! and wish to sign up for the general fashion show- you must do this when you register. Also anyone wanting to attend the Ball there will be instructions and lessons Saturday afternoon as well.
Please remember that getting this ship ready for first flight is taking up much of my time, so after tonight it will be very difficult to reach me. The best thing to do is go to the forums.
Also…remember that the weather could get cold this week. Dress warmly for the season. Also expect delays on our roads around 3:30-6pm as traffic does back up on HWY 12/18.
that should be all- I hope to see all of you soon!
