Military Uniforms in a Steampunk and Diesel Punk World Do you want to portray a military character? Looking to incorporate a military style into your steampunk or diesel punk outfit? Well if you and your friends want to wear uniforms, it should be just that; uniform! Let’s take a look at late 19th Century and early 20th Century military uniforms and see how we can give them a twist to fit into the altered-history world. This class will look at what type of military character you are looking to portray, and how to incorporate historical military dress – including combat uniforms, dress uniforms, equipment, and insignia – to help you create a solid look for yourself and your crew. With a little research and creativity, you’ll look like you just stepped out of a world that never existed! – Abbey Manalli |

Bustlemaking In this class participants will learn how to make a bustle skirt. We will learn the basic principals, brief history of the fashion, and how to make one without the ability to sew. This will be a hands on class in which the participants will walk away with a finished garment. The instructor has been making costumes with and without sewing for the past 16 years, she has taught several classes, and is a historian by trade. She often makes and wears a bustle gown as part of her profession, in addition to many other styles of the 1800’s. – Genevieve Joyner |

This also covers how Steampunk has grown over the last few years and our community is being viewed. – The Airship Archon |
