This panel will go into the history of makeup and the current trends one finds in the culture as well as demonstrate a few designs that will range from basic canvas styles to abstract looks involving some special effects and unique uses of materials. During this lecture, we discuss the way attendees can imagine a Steampunk setting in which any character can exist and interact with others. Using alternate history as a base, the presentation mainly details how to reconcile the existence of fantastic themes and “modern” elements in the Industrial Era. The goal is to empower each attendee with the confidence that they may make assertions about Steampunk as a setting for their own creative means. – Amelia Panderghast
